Pascale Neuschäfer

Over 10 years’ filmmaking experience in South Africa and the UK. DP for the independent UK feature, The Bones on Greenwich Shore, 2016. DP for Coughing Up for Gold, an online documentary project about South African miners dying of silicosis, which won the African Media Story Challenge, 2014.

Pascale started her filmmaking career creating documentaries about marginalised people living and working in Cape Town. Several of these were screened at local and international festivals, as well as SABC2.

Pascale holds an MA in Cinematography (with distinction), from Goldsmiths, trained under Witold Stok, BSC. Alumna of the Durban Talent Campus, where her project was selected for Doc Station mentorship under Dutch filmmaker, Menna Laura Meijer, as well as ESODOC International.
